Matariki

               Matariki

Hello today Totara Whanau had learnt about Matariki. If you dont know what  Matariiki is I will tell you. lets go . Matariki is a time were crops start to grow and eels get big and juicy. Let me tell you about what we did for Matariki. We all sat down on the soft carpet but hard carpet we could not  holed the excitement in us we all started to talk about Matariki and how we really just wanted to get started, and have a super day.  I was doing sowing, Let me tell you how it challenged me At the start when we were told to go by the window to trace our peace of paper. The piece of cotton we could choose were cool I choose a inside of a pawa(paua) shell. After we had traced our shape we had iron it onto the cloth and cut it out. Then we had to place the patterned cloth onto a piece of black cloth where we thought each piece went. If it was not right, the teachers would tell us where it needed to go. Then we peeled the paper off the back of the coloured material and ironed the patterned and the black material together. Then we stitched around the outside of the patterned material. We then cut out small stars to add to the black material and stuck them on. The stars represented the seven sisters of Matariki. I hope your matariki was as fun as mine.

What challenged me was when I was tracing my work by the window and we had to be very care full .

What was hard when I was doing the sewing I got into the learning pit for a little bit then made it out because I used my perseverance muscle when I was cutting out my sewing.

How to wash a dog

   How to wash a dog
Do you love dogs? Well I do but not when the smell of a rotting monster is creeping around my room, that probably means your monster of a dog needs a wash. I no I no dogs are the worst when it comes to having a wash but come on you don’t want a stink floating around you. Do you? Here are some ways to help you wash your dog.

Stuff you will need
  • Hairbrush
  • Shampoo
  • Dog spray
  • Treats for the dog (Once it has had its bath)
  • Bubbles (if you want)

Method
Step 1 Get a nice bath ready for your pet but make sure your pet won't drown so if your pet is a little dog full it half way from your own dog, If your dog is a big dog full the bath half way.
Step 2 Put the bubbles in the bathtub (only if you want)
Put a soft colored towel next to the tub.
Step 3 make sure before putting the stinky dog into the tub make sure the dog is Calm before putting it in bath tub.
Step 4 Plop the dog into the bath and wash it all.
And that is that now you know how to wash a dog.

Does your dog now smell like roses or like a dump? Guess what your dog can now sleep at the end for your bed because she or he will no longer stink and smell like a pit of plop, So your dog can do way more things like having a pat by its favorite person. So now you and your little angle will be best not smelly friends.

I am learning to write a nice clear peace of instructions to tell the reader how to wash a dog and why you would want to.
I am proud of my work because I had tried hard and I have gone back to fix my mistakes when my work was orange on the tracking sheet and I went back so it had a interesting ending that connected to the introduction.

We were all siting down on the mat in home room 4. Crossing our fingers tight to see what we would get, First was full licence the name came, Kali,Shontae, Angus, Joseph, Camden, Summer, Rosie, keisha , Liam, lachlan, Claire, Max, Olivia, Te au, Jack, Keiron, Pagie, Chris, Ballin, Isabella, Lealou, Daniel, Ashley, Beau, Aotea, Jack, Aspen, Jhavarneahan Emma.B  I thought to my self I'm diffidently not going to get a international licence  but maybe next time I will get a full. "Everyone give the people that got a full licence a clap and then we will move on to international licence" Mrs Jacket said "Clap clap clap" I said the names came they were Charlotte(Clap Clap Clap),Megan(Clap Clap Clap),Hannah(Cla Clap Clap Clap),Kayla(Clap Clap Clap)Ellee(Clap Clap Clap) Tyler (Clap Clap Clap) Jada (Clap Clap Clap) Georgina (Clap Clap Clap) Faith (Clap Clap Clap) Terenzo (Clap Clap Clap) Pippa(Clap Clap Clap) "an that is everyone so can everyone gives these people a big clap. A while later web were all working and helping and reading me and Ellee and Kali where doing our work and talking "well done pippa and ellee for what you got" Kali said "Well done to you to" I said.

I am proud of getting my licence because when first found out about the licence I tried even harder than I have ever done and I think that I deserve it because I am a hard worker sometimes I get off task but I do a pretty good job at managing my distractions and I always go back to fix up my mistakes or make my learning better.
