Olympics Email to athlete

Dear Pippa Hayward

How many games have you won before? I think that the Rio Olympics is a cool experience to  meet people all around the world and compete in amazing sports like Hockey, Gym and Swimming also a whole lot more. I usually don’t watch sport on t.v but I thought I would watch  the Olympics and shout and screaming  at the t.v saying “GOO PIPPA HAYWARD.”

My class has been talking all about the Olympics and who would win the Rio 2016 Olympics this year. We were told to go and find an athlete that is competing I scrolled down and  sore Pippa Hayward I click on you and read about you I thought wow you are competing for the Olympics for the first time. And I found out you play for the Black Sticks hockey team. You have inspired me to try hockey even though I’m not that much of a fan of hockey. Opps I forgot to say we have one thing in common it is our name mine is Pippa Osborne and yours is Pippa Hayward. I hope you have a great time in Rio and play your best.

I have been learning to write good peace of work to my athlete using vocab and my perseverance mussel (muscle) to get all the good information about my athlete.

What challenged me was going back adding more information about her and putting in things we have in conman like our name. Also adding in things I like in the Olympics and about her sport.

The most fun bit was writing in all I know about the Olympics and Pippa's sport and about how I hope she gets a gold medal.
